I am Angelo Casciani, a PhD student in the National PhD in Artificial Intelligence, supervised by Andrea Marrella and Marta Cimitile.

My research interests encompass:

Artificial Intelligence (AI):
- Automated Planning;
- Conversational AI;
- Large Language Models;
- Knowledge Representation and Reasoning.
Business Process Management (BPM):
- Predictive Process Monitoring;
- Process Mining;
- Robotic Process Automation.

Specifically, my PhD thesis revolves around the integration of Conversational AI and Symbolic AI techniques to enable actionable conversations within the vision of AI-augmented BPM Systems.

I was a visiting PhD student at the Department of Computer Science, University of Oxford (2025) and at the Institut für Informatik, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (2026).
